Hearing a small groan, I look down and see that Lila is slowly coming around.

“Morning, sleepyhead,” I tell her.

She gets up quickly and looks around, dazed. “What? What happened?” she says slowly.

“Well, you found out that you will be alive for over 1,000 years, and passed out,” I tell her with a smile.

“No, that’s not possible. No one lives that long unless they are Gods!” she blurts out.

“Nope, we aren’t Gods,” I tell her with a small grin. “But now you get to go on adventures with us and explore this world for the next 1,000 years. That’s if you want to stay with us.”

Lila looks between Celeste and me, unsure. “You would have me?” she asks in a small voice.

“Until you tire of us. I am sure one day Celeste here will tire of me and tell me to bugger off,” I tell her with a laugh.

“I will not!” Celeste says indignantly.

“Tell me that 200 years from now when you are sick of waking up with me every morning,” I say to her with a raised eyebrow.

“Wake up next to you?” she asks, blushing.

Hm, pretty sure I said waking up with, not next to. Did that kiss she gave me as she went under to get Uploaded mean more? Come on Jeff, of course it didn’t. She was someone very powerful on Earth, while you worked for her and had a menial job. Don’t read anything into it. She must just be embarrassed that she will be waking up next to a male. Then again, she did tell me earlier that William hated me because she had a thing for me. I’m so confused.

“I mean, sure, all three of us will be waking up next to each other. I am sure there will be times we will need to huddle for warmth if we go into a colder region, or if there are winters here,” I tell her.

“Huddle?” Lila says, and now she is blushing.

“Only if you want to,” I tell her quickly. “If not, I am sure we can figure out how to keep warm in other ways. Are there winters here?” I ask her.

“Yes,” she says, still blushing. “But they aren’t as bad as up in the mountains. Here it’s not as bad.”

“I wonder if we will need to get winter gear then. Speaking of gear, how does my Bag work? I know I can carry as much stuff as I want, based on my Strength. But how many total items can it hold?” I ask her.

“There isn’t a number, really. But there is a weight limit for the item. So if you have an item that is over 50lbs, you can’t put it into your bag. Also, nothing longer than how tall you are.”

“Good to know. I think that the extra bag slots are for a quiver and bank access when I am near a bank?” I ask her.

“Not sure about the bank, as I have never been near one. Those are usually only in towns. But yes.
